FAQs

How does annual vs monthly billing work?

Releese offers both monthly and annual billing options for paid plans. Annual billing comes with a lower monthly price, while monthly billing offers more flexibility if you prefer to pay month to month.

Which plan is best for artists?

Most independent artists start with either Starter or Essential for Artists. Starter includes the core tools needed to distribute music, create smart links, and track analytics. Essential adds more advanced capabilities like lifetime pre-saves, publishing and neighboring rights collection, and fan email tools, making it a better fit for artists focused on growing and engaging their audience.

When should I move from Essential to Pro?

The Pro plan is designed for artists or teams who need more control over collaboration and marketing. Many users upgrade when they need features like team logins, custom domains, marketing pixels, or self-managed royalty recoups, especially when working with collaborators or managing releases across a larger catalog.

What’s included in the Business plan?

Business for Labels includes everything available in the Pro plan, along with additional capabilities designed for larger teams. This includes features like territory carving, custom user roles, royalty recoups, a dedicated account manager, and personalized onboarding, along with the highest revenue share tier. Business plans are tailored to the needs of labels and larger music teams.

Can I switch plans as my team grows?

Yes. You can upgrade your plan as your needs change. Many artists start with Starter or Essential and move to Pro or Business once they begin working with collaborators, managing larger catalogs, or running releases across a team.
